Squirrel Rejects his Bushy Tail

Squirrel Rejects his Bushy Tail by Debbie Dunn was written to demonstrate the importance of valuing each and every part of our body and lives.

 Squirrel Rejects his Bushy Tail

Book Description

Squirrel loved to brag more than just about anything else in the world. Sadly, all that bragging was a cover-up for hiding his big secret.

What was his secret? Squirrel truly thought his tail was ugly and useless.

When confronted by a hungry hawk, will Squirrel learn his lesson that all parts of his body are essential and important before it is too late?

This story of Squirrel attempting to reject his bushy tail was inspired by hearing a Native American tale about Coyote plus the author’s past weight loss efforts. See if it reminds you of any time when you might have rejected or put down any part of your body or life.

Parables of Strange Fox & Martin Rabbit

Parables of Strange Fox & Martin Rabbit by Debbie Dunn was written in honor of #BlackHistoryMonth and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Parables of Strange Fox & Martin Rabbit

Book Description

This trilogy of tales was written in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Black History Month. After reading multiple biographies of his great life, the author was inspired to write a story that demonstrates that the sky would not fall if people of all races co-mingled.

Tale #1: Parable of Strange Fox: A ‘stranger-danger’ fox arrives at a peaceful forest. He manages to convince President Bear to confine all rabbits to Forest Corner or else the sky would come crashing down upon their heads.

Tale #2: Parable of Martin Rabbit and Grandmother Frog: Years later, young Martin Rabbit meets with his mentor, Grandmother Frog. Will she convince him to bravely take a stand?

Tale #3: Parable of What Martin Rabbit Taught President Bear: When facing starvation, Martin Rabbit leads the rabbits to the fallen tree to meet with President Bear the 3rd. Will Martin be able to convince one and all that a bad law is a law needing to be changed?

Tune in to read this trilogy of three parables to find the answer.
