During the pandemic, I am taking taste-bud journeys as I self-isolate rather than physical journeys. Here is my adapted recipe for a Turkey Tenderloin Open-faced Sandwich on No-Knead White Bread. I topped the sandwich with Swiss Cheese, Mayo, turkey, and mashed-up avocado. I really enjoy that particular combination of ingredients.
My conclusion: It was pretty good; however, I now realize that I prefer this topping choice with a less-hearty bread choice. The bread thickness and flavor somewhat overshadowed the other ingredients. Next time, I will probably use a flatbread of some type. As for this bread, I will reserve it for when I want breakfast toast with butter and jam or something similar.
