During the pandemic, I am taking taste-bud journeys as I self-isolate rather than physical journeys. Here is my adapted recipe for making the store-bought powdered soup called Creamy Potato Hearty Soup. The first time I purchased this was on the hopes that it would be good. I loved it so much that I went back and purchased about a dozen of these packets. To my taste buds, it looks and tastes like homemade or restaurant-quality loaded baked potato soup. The added perk is that it takes only a little over ten minutes to make.
Recipe
Procedure
- Step 1: In a medium-large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Step 2: Whisk in the complete contents of the pouch of powdered soup into the pot all at once. Reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Step 3: Remove the pot from the heat. Let it stand 5 minutes to cool slightly and to thicken even more before serving.
- Step 4: Eat and enjoy! Makes two very large servings.
